SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join TXP and work as part of an agile engineering team delivering high-quality, mission-critical digital solutions.

This is a hands-on quality engineering role with a strong focus on test automation, continuous integration and modern quality engineering practices. You will work closely with developers, engineers and other stakeholders throughout the software delivery lifecycle, helping ensure quality is built into solutions from the earliest stages of development.

You will contribute across functional and non-functional testing, developing and maintaining automated test solutions while supporting a strong shift-left quality culture across the engineering team.

****WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

As part of an agile software development team, you will:

  • Develop, enhance and maintain robust automated test solutions and frameworks.
  • Perform detailed test analysis and test design for complex and highly integrated systems.
  • Create and execute automated tests across different levels of the application.
  • Apply modern testing approaches including TDD, BDD and risk-based testing.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Promote shift-left testing and quality engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Perform testing across Unit, Component, Integration, System and End-to-End levels.
  • Support functional and non-functional testing activities.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) where required.
  • Manage test data, testing documentation and associated QA artefacts.
  • Work closely with developers, including participating in pair-programming activities where appropriate.
  • Identify, investigate and support the resolution of defects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and automation practices.
  • Mentor and support less experienced testing colleagues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strong commercial experience in QA/Test Automation.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites.
  • Broad understanding of software testing across both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Integration practices.
  • Experience working within Agile/iterative software development environments.
  • Experience testing complex and integrated enterprise applications.
  • Good understanding of test design, test analysis and risk-based testing.
  • Experience using Git and GitLab.
  • Ability to work closely with developers and other engineering disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT:

You will be working with technologies and concepts including:

  • Playwright
  • Selenium
  • Cucumber
  • Postman
  • JUnit
  • Gatling
  • OWASP ZAP
  • Git / GitLab
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • Azure and/or AWS
  • API testing
  • Performance testing
  • Accessibility testing, including WCAG, WAVE or Axe

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience working within complex, enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
  • Exposure to performance and security/penetration testing.
  • Experience implementing or improving automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing standards.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring other QA/Test Engineers.
  • Formal education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, although equivalent professional experience is equally valued.
