Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintainautomated test suitesusingPlaywrightfor web applications
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable test scripts usingJavaScript and TypeScript
- Perform comprehensivemanual testingincluding functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
- Plan and executeAPI testingfor RESTful services using appropriate tools and frameworks
- Validate API responses, payloads, error handling, and performance against specifications
- Collaborate with developers during the SDLC to identify test scenarios early and prevent defects
- Review product requirements, technical designs, and user stories to ensure test coverage
- Identify, log, and track defects clearly, working closely with engineering teams for timely resolution
- Contribute totest strategy, test planning, and test execution reports
- Continuously improve test automation coverage and testing processes
- Ensure quality best practices are followed across releases and environments
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to building strong QA standards within the team
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8 years of hands-on experiencein Quality Assurance across manual and automation testing
- Strong experience withPlaywrightfor browser automation
- Proficiency inJavaScript and TypeScriptfor writing automation frameworks and test scripts
- Solid understanding ofREST APIsand extensive experience inAPI testing
- Strong fundamentals ofmanual testing methodologies, test case design, and execution
- Experience working with automation frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and agile methodologies
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify edge cases and risk areas
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Experience with performance or security testing
- Exposure to cloud-based applications or microservices architecture
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading QA initiatives
