Description

Required Qualifications6 years of hands‑on QA experience.
Strong experience in application and portal flow testing for multi‑layer web platforms.
Proficient in API testing with the ability to design, execute, and maintain test cases independently.
Strong SQL skills with the ability to write queries and validate backend system state without assistance.
Practical automation experience — capable of writing and maintaining scripts, not just executing existing ones.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) for defect tracking and test case management.
Preferred Qualifications
Domain experience in reinsurance, insurance, or financial services.
Familiarity with stored procedures, views, and backend logic validation.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
Awareness of, or hands‑on experience with, performance testing concepts and tools.API Testing
Design and execute API test cases covering functional, negative, boundary, and integration scenarios.
Validate payloads, status codes, authentication, error handling, and service‑to‑service interactions.
Build and maintain automated API test scripts using Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or equivalent tools.
Backend Database Validation
Write and execute SQL queries to validate that application and API operations result in correct backend behavior (inserts, updates, deletes, state changes).
Verify that business rules are correctly enforced at the database layer, independently of UI or API responses.
Identify data integrity issues, constraint violations, and discrepancies between UI/API outputs and the underlying data.
Validate stored procedures, triggers, and other backend logic where applicable.
