Job Description
What you'll do as a QA Engineer:
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Technology team in Sydney / Melbourne . You will be involved in the full lifecycle of projects, from discovery through development, testing, deployment & post deployment activities. You will assist the Systems team to ensure business confidence in our frequent deployments to production.
Reporting to Lead QA Engineer, You will be involved in discovery for new stories, feature builds, POCs, writing test plans, maintaining environment specific automated regression suites, automating cases/scripts & coordinating a QA environment / project stream. You will be assisting Senior QA Engineer/ Lead QA Engineer to execute QA processes and strategies within the team to ensure we release the highest quality products to our customers. Within your stream, you will be responsible for maintaining, uplifting & providing support for Octanes automated test capabilities.

You will help the team build healthy platforms that enable confidence in frequent deployments to production. You will be assisting the Senior QA Engineer in uplifting QA processes and strategies within the team to ensure we release the highest quality products to our customers while delivering on time
Qualifications
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum 2 to 3 yearsâ experience in a Quality engineering or Software Engineering Role.
- Strong technical and test automation background.
- Experience with deadline-driven quality assurance environments.
- Able to document testing scenarios, user flows & test cases within your team.
- Hands on experience in some of the following languages: Java 8-11/Javascript/SQL/cucumber
- Familiarity with the following technologies: MySQL, Gitlab, AWS, Postman.
- Have a high attention to detail and will keep your team honest regarding quality
- Experience and exposure to large scale and complex applications
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and geographically distributed environment
- You are a person who continually self learns and improves your technical skillsets
- Are curious, tenacious, creative, but are also great team players
- Work with the software engineers to ensure QA is considered throughout the development process
- Proactive attitude
- Demonstrated initiative and customer focus approach
