Specialist SDET (Data & Automation Testing)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist SDET with expertise in automation testing, data validation, and ETL testing. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C# or Java , hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks, and the ability to validate complex data pipelines using SQL. You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through automation and robust testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs.
- Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows.
- Validate data integrity by writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Test APIs through code and automate functional, regression, and integration test cases.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers during sprint planning and story refinement.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain automation standards.
- Monitor CI/CD pipelines and Azure releases to identify and resolve regression issues.
- Manage defect lifecycle and ensure timely bug reporting and resolution.
- Work with distributed teams to ensure quality across releases.
Required Skills
- 7–9 years of experience as an SDET or Automation Test Engineer.
- Strong programming experience in C# or Java (OOP concepts).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver , Cypress , or Playwright.
- StrongSQL skills with experience in data validation and ETL testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs through code.
- Knowledge of Snowflake , ETL processes, and database testing.
- Experience with Visual Studio , Git , and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have
- UI Automation expertise.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of test automation best practices, code coverage, and risk-based testing.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
