Quality Engineer β Warehouse Edge
Remote |MEXICO
We are looking for a talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our Warehouse Edge team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of the K.Motion Warehouse Edge platform β a comprehensive multi-tenant warehouse management system with 30+ licensed modules. You will design, develop, and maintain test plans, regression suites, and automation frameworks covering end-to-end warehouse workflows from receiving through shipping. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development Excellence
- Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suites covering 30+ licensed WMS modules
- Design and execute end-to-end workflow tests (receiving β putaway β allocation β wave β picking β packing β shipping)
- Validate REST/OData APIs against 784K+ lines of generated controllers
- Develop a thorough understanding of the product architecture and multi-tenant model within 6 months
- Deliver in line with project committed metrics on Velocity, Quality, and Accuracy
Technical Direction
- Achieve comfort with all aspects of Warehouse Edge testing within 6 to 12 months
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in testing approaches
- Design regression strategies for complex multi-module warehouse systems with interdependencies
- Identify gaps and propose enhancements in the test automation process and/or architecture
Process Improvement
- Share ideas for process, workflow, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Understand and follow all team processes while actively suggesting improvements
- Apply risk-based testing and prioritization to maximize coverage across 30+ modules
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across the organization including developers, support, and PSG
- Communicate clearly to understand requirements and align test coverage with organizational goals
- Produce high-quality test documentation, defect reports, and concise written communications
- Document test plans clearly, write precise repro steps, perform root cause analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an Agile development environment
- Proven ability to independently design test strategies and regression plans for complex multi-module systems
- Experience mentoring or guiding more junior team members
- Demonstrated ability to articulate technical problems, root causes, and corresponding solutions
- Strong analytical and investigative skills for root cause analysis
- English
Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management domains
- Experience testing multi-tenant enterprise applications with complex module interdependencies
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
- C# and .NET Framework 4.8 β for writing automated tests and understanding the system under test
- MSSQL β writing complex queries to validate multi-tenant data, setting up test data across 298 initialization scripts, verifying warehouse operations
- REST/OData API testing β request/response validation against generated controllers
- Test management tools β Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar
- Test plan creation β designing comprehensive test cases and regression suites
- End-to-end WMS workflow testing β receiving β putaway β allocation β wave β picking β packing β shipping
- Multi-tenant application testing β tenant isolation, data integrity, configuration variations across client databases
- Azure DevOps and Git β branching, PRs, build pipelines
- Risk-based testing and test prioritization

- Testing generated code systems (validating MTG-driven BusinessLogic, OData, and DataSources output)
- xbase++ or legacy script validation (PICK.PRG, RECEIVE.PRG, SHIPPING.PRG workflows)
- Warehouse automation interface testing (carousel, conveyor, diverter control)
- Test data management strategies for multi-tenant environments with database-per-tenant isolation
- CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution
- NHibernate ORM behavior and testing data access layer patterns
- SSRS report validation
- Voice picking (VoiceLink) and smart cart workflow testing
- Swagger/OpenAPI for generating test coverage against 784K+ lines of OData API contracts
- Use of AI prompts for test case generation and defect analysis
