Responsibilities:
ā¢ Design and execute test plans and test cases for a new integration/middleware layer connecting a partner portal to internal systems.
ā¢ Perform API-level functional, integration, and regression testing.
ā¢ Validate synchronous and asynchronous (event-driven) flows, including error handling and retry/dead-letter scenarios.
ā¢ Collaborate with the Business Analyst to translate documented business flows into test scenarios.
ā¢ Log, track, and verify defect resolution across environments (Development ā QA ā UAT ā Production).
ā¢ Support automation of API test suites where applicable.
ā¢ Validate security and access-control behavior (authentication, authorization, data segregation).
Requirements:
ā¢ 5+ years of QA experience, with a focus on API/backend testing and independent ownership of test strategy.
ā¢ Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or equivalent tooling).
ā¢ Experience writing and maintaining structured test cases and test plans.
ā¢ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing within a GitLab CI (or equivalent) workflow.
ā¢ Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services.
ā¢ Good English communication skills (B2+) ā daily collaboration with a US-based team.
Nice to Have:
ā¢ Experience with automated API test frameworks.
ā¢ Experience testing event-driven or asynchronous systems (message queues, notifications).
ā¢ Familiarity with security testing practices (OWASP-related checks).
