The Ubiquiti Prague office is looking for a QA Automation Engineer. This role involves establishing and scaling QA automation for a new product area, including building end-to-end test coverage, test infrastructure, and supporting frameworks from the ground up.
We’re looking for a reliable team player with knowledge of computer storage. We expect you to bring your enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of the box when finding solutions to brand new problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end tests for network, storage, and related software systems
- Help establish QA automation practices, test coverage, and supporting infrastructure for a new and evolving product area
- Identify risk areas, define effective test scenarios, and keep automated coverage aligned with product changes
- Investigate issues, document defects, and work closely with developers to improve product quality
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation or a similar role, with strong Linux and Bash skills
- Experience with at least one programming language, such as Python or Go
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and experience testing distributed or multi-component systems
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, with a practical and proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with storage systems, including block or object storage
- Experience with integration and end-to-end testing
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, or virtualization technologies
- Background in systems, storage, or network administration
