Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Slate is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space. • Slate is looking for a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer to help bring code to life. • QA Engineers employ different testing strategies to ensure systems are solid and ready for real-world scale. • You must be able to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment where your contributions have a direct impact on the company’s direction and success and should not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. • Be responsible for manual and automated testing of features across various platforms, including web and mobile. • Develop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques. • Utilize black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques. • Test code and systems using manual and automated tools. • Write automated tests and user-level test automation tools. • Collaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand product features and technical implementations. • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models. • Develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments. • Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution. • Create and maintain regression tests. • Drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.
