Senior Test Engineer (Automation)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of automation test scripts and automation framework
- Understand, apply and optimize appropriate test mechanisms (functional, regression.smoke.) and tools to improve the verification efficiency through automation
- Continuously improve the automation framework, tools, and processes.
- Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
- Providing feedback on release readiness
- Participation in requirement analysis and walkthrough
Skills Required
- 5+ years of industrial experience in software testing
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automation testing
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in test automation using Cypress or Playwright
- Strong proficiency in writing TypeScript or JavaScript .
- Experience with Cucumber BDD and writing Gherkin scenarios.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar is a plus.
- Good knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG is a plus.
- Should be capable of manually testing the application and writing manual test cases in BDD (Gherkin) format.
- Experience using Jenkins/Github workflow Pipeline for CI/CD.
- Good knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or JMeter.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience of JIRA & Zephyr.
