We make smart devices and push the boundaries of the IoT sector every single day. Shelly is a strong company with a startup mindset β€” no bureaucracy, just bold ideas, creative problem-solving, and a team that genuinely loves what they do.
We turn every spark of an idea into a real product β€” from first concept to full production β€” and bring smart automation to over 3 million households around the world. From heating, lighting, appliances, curtains, and more β€” if it runs on electricity, chances are we can automate it. We’ve built over 100 smart devices (and counting!), and everything happens right here at our headquarters in Sofia.

What makes you a great fit:

  • You bring 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, software testing, or a similar role

  • You have a strong eye for detail and enjoy finding the edge cases others might miss
  • You bring experience with Jest or other JavaScript testing frameworks as an advantage
  • You understand CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration, ideally using GitLab CI/CD
  • You bring experience with Selenium or Appium for cross-browser or mobile application testing as an advantage
  • You have knowledge of Python, particularly Pytest and Selenium, as an advantage
  • You understand IoT and connected-device testing as an advantage
  • You have experience wiring electrical appliances or building physical test setups as an advantage

Your Responsibilities:

  • You develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases across our web applications, APIs, services, and connected-device ecosystem
  • You build and maintain reliable automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright
  • You test REST APIs and integrations to verify functionality, reliability, and expected system behavior
  • You collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define the right testing approach
  • You identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution
  • You perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing throughout the development lifecycle
  • You create and maintain test documentation, test plans, and testing scenarios
  • You integrate automated testing into development and CI/CD workflows
  • You participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns clearly
  • You help build and maintain test environments and physical IoT test setups when needed
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies
