As a Website QA Specialist within the Marketing Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of Egnyte’s corporatewebsiteand other customer-facing web properties likeBlog,HelpDesk,University& Platform Free Trial Registration Page. You will collaboratealongside our cross-functional team of Developers, Designers, Product Marketing, SEM, CRO, SEO, Analytics, Engineering, Operations & QA to improve our website’s functionality, user experience, and performance to help drive engagement and interest.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on design and functional specifications.
  • Identify, document, and communicate test requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct manual testing to ensure all the customer-facing web properties meet the specified requirements.
  • Execute test cases, report bugs, and track issues through to resolution.
  • Perform functional, usability, and regression testing.
  • Test website functionality across different browsers and devices.
  • Ensure responsive design and consistent user experience across platforms.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure website scalability.
  • Identify and report performance bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with web developers, graphic designers, QA engineer and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
  • Participate in planning, review and team meetings.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, tools and technologies in QA

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 – 4 years of proven experience in website testing of which 1 – 2 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Proven experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium Java, Selenium Python,or Selenium JavaScript.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as Chrome Dev Tools,Pingdom,GTmetrix,GooglePageSpeedInsights.
  • Knowledge of Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC), Agile methodologies and QA processes.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript,etc).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues, concerns, and recommendations to designers, developers,and other stakeholders.
  • Writing detailed and understandable bug reports and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Asana, JIRA,Confluence,Figma,BrowserStack, Appium.
  • Previous experience working directly with (or as part of) a marketing team.
