E-commerce QA Engineer

What You’ll Do:

  • Take ownership of quality control and stability of all websites and environments while testing active development tickets and company projects or initiatives on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) e-commerce platform.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on user stories and technical specs.
  • Execute manual testing for functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser/device coverage.
  • Create and maintain automated testing for all active functionalities and regression testing.
  • Verify backend workflows, API integrations, payment flows (e.g., Braintree, PayPal), and third-party services.
  • Find, track and document bugs in Jira, and collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Proactively identify risks and edge cases in the QA process, making recommendations to improve product stability.
  • Attend agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute QA insights.
  • Support internal quality processes and help define best practices for SFCC QA workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2+ years focused on e-commerce testing (Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience required).
  • Familiarity with SFCC Business Manager, content assets, promotional campaigns, site preferences.
  • Strong understanding of web application testing concepts including HTTP, REST, cookies, session handling, etc.
  • Ability to create and maintain automated testing tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience validating integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics tools, and PIMs.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks using C#, leveraging Playwright for modern UI automation and Reqnroll (SpecFlow successor) for BDD-style test scenarios.
  • Comfortable working across desktop and mobile, using browser dev tools and debugging tools effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset—able to work closely with developers and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Jira, test case management tools, and agile development practices.
