Senior QA Engineer

About the position

Work with the software development team(s) to test functionality during sprints to a high quality. • Collaborate with peers to discuss features as part of the software development lifecycle. • Create and configure test environments. • Create, maintain, critique and execute test plans. • Define, write and implement test cases (where possible from acceptance criteria). • Perform manual testing where necessary, and build and monitor automated test suites. • Contribute feedback and help the team to improve in an Agile/Scrum environment. • Gather or create test data required for testing. • Query data stored in databases and API responses. • Become a trusted authority for QA, with a strong evidence-based case for why a release is ready to ship. • Reporting, defect tracking and leakage analysis.
