QA Engineer
The client is looking for a highly motivated, quality focused, Manual QA Engineer with experience working with browser, mobile, and QA manual tools. As an individual contributor of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scenario based end to end tests, improving and evolving our manual testing environment. You understand the importance of automated testing and continuous delivery. Data informs the decisions you make and you can’t imagine a world without metrics and instrumentation throughout the software systems you test. You have a passion for delivering high quality systems, and enjoy participating in an agile cloud environment with continuous delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute scenario-based manual test plans for software products
- Conduct API testing to ensure seamless communication between system components
- Validate software functionality and performance on Linux environments
- Test data consistency and system behavior using ElasticSearch and SQL
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deeply understand the product and identify potential vulnerabilities
- Write detailed trouble tickets, including reproduction steps, and work with developers to resolve issues
- Participate in the full lifecycle of software development, including planning, testing, and continuous releases
- Leverage basic PHP knowledge to assist in debugging and verifying system functionality
- Attend meetings scheduled in alignment with U.S. time zones
Requirements

3+ years of experience writing scenario-based test plans for software products

3+ years of manual testing experience, including testing high-performance, scalable, and distributed systems

Hands-on experience with API testing and database systems (SQL)

Familiarity with ElasticSearch for testing and troubleshooting

Basic knowledge of Linux and PHP

Proficient in writing detailed trouble tickets and clear reproduction steps

Basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Fluent in English and a collaborative team player

Availability to attend meetings during U.S. working hours
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in security testing
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter
