We have an exciting opportunity to join the DevOps team as a Quality Assurance Analyst (Tester). This role works with developers and business application users to develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases, including the use of automation, performance and test management tools.
Quality Assurance Analyst
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize knowledge of modern testing methodologies to define and implement test strategies forprojects of high complexity
- Lead and/or participate in day-to-day test planning, test case writing, testing, defect documentationand release monitoring activities
- Work closely with Business Analyst and Developers during user story creation to review functionaland non-functional requirements and identify issues early in SDLC
- Work closely with Business Analyst to communicate testing expectations, provide quality assuranceestimates for testing activities, and identify scope issues early in SDLC
- Work closely with Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Automation Engineers duringdevelopment of technical requirements to ensure testability of new features/products and define therole of automation in overall test strategies
- Utilize intermediate level SQL queries for day-to-day testing, release monitoring, and product qualityreporting
- Report on meaningful project level quality metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years professional experience testing SaaS/web-based applications
- Strong understanding of modern SDLC processes in an Agile environment
- Strong understanding of modern QA methodologies and best practices
- Strong understanding of software testing metrics
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing comprehensive full life cycle test strategies for projects of medium to high complexity
