Your Mission

As a Quality Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of Bitpanda’s Quality Engineering team, ensuring the resilience, security, and world-class performance of our financial ecosystem. You won't just find bugs; you will champion a culture of excellence that enables us to scale safely for millions of users across Europe.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute test strategies for complex mobile and web environments. You will oversee end-to-end testing lifecycles, integrating advanced exploratory testing with rigorous regression and smoke suites.
• Utilize expertise in tools like Postman, Android Studio, and Xcode to debug complex architectural issues and validate high-stakes financial integrations.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers during the discovery phase to identify edge cases and technical risks before a single line of code is written.
• Beyond just tracking bugs in Jira, you will analyze defect trends to identify systemic weaknesses and work with Engineering Leads to implement long-term preventative measures.
• Drive the "Shift-Left" philosophy by embedding quality benchmarks early in the sprint cycle, ensuring that "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done" are strictly upheld across squads.

• Experience in high-growth mobile and web environments, ideally within Fintech or highly regulated industries.
• Mastery of tools like Postman, JIRA/Xray, Android Studio, and Xcode is essential. You should be comfortable navigating logs, proxying traffic, and inspecting databases.
• You can translate technical risks into business impact for stakeholders and provide constructive, high-level feedback to developers.
• You thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver stable, secure products.
