Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer to help advance AI-driven quality engineering for Autodesk Moldflow — an industry leading simulation platform for plastic injection molding. We are looking for a quality engineer with strong automation expertise and interest in AI-assisted testing, intelligent automation, and modern quality engineering practices. You will work closely with global engineering and product teams to improve product quality, test scalability, and release confidence across desktop and cloud-connected engineering applications. Experience with simulation software, manufacturing workflows, or engineering applications is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Automation

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and validation suites
-
Build automated functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests
-
Improve automation reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency
-
Participate in design and architecture reviews to improve product testability and quality
-
Analyse defects, troubleshoot failures, and support root-cause resolution
AI-Driven Testing
-
Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing and intelligent automation practices
-
Evaluate and leverage AI/GenAI tools to improve test generation, defect analysis, regression optimization and quality insights

Contribute to initiatives around: risk-based testing, predictive quality analytics, and self-healing automation
Moldflow & Simulation Validation

Validate workflows related to: injection molding simulation, cooling and warpage analysis, material behaviour, meshing and solver computations
-
Develop real-world engineering and manufacturing validation scenarios
-
Ensure simulation accuracy and customer-focused quality outcomes
CI/CD & Collaboration
-
Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
-
Support continuous testing and quality engineering best practices
-
Collaborate with global Agile teams across engineering and product management
-
Mentor team members on automation and modern QA practices
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
-
5–8 years of experience in Software QA / Quality Engineering
-
Strong programming and automation skills using Python, Java, or similar languages
-
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent
-
Experience testing desktop applications, APIs, or engineering software systems
-
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices
-
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
-
Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with AI-assisted testing or GenAI-enabled QA workflows
-
Experience with Autodesk Moldflow or similar CAE/simulation software
-
Knowledge of injection molding, plastics engineering, or manufacturing workflows
-
Experience validating engineering or scientific computation software
-
Familiarity with simulation solvers, meshing workflows, or numerical validation concepts
-
Experience with cloud-based automation and distributed testing environments
