Quality Assurance Engineer

Test Planning & Strategy

• Develop clear test strategies and plans by reviewing requirements and working with product, development, and cross‑functional teams.
• Identify testing needs early in the design phase and prepare the necessary test environments and datasets.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, plans, and defect reports.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests, including supporting testing within CI/CD (ContinuousIntegration/ContinuousDelivery) pipelines.
• Investigate and collaboratively address root causes of defects and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Build and maintain automated tests and frameworks using Java‑based tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Use REST Assured for API (Application Programming Interface) testing and apply automation best practices.
• Apply experience with Azure technologies and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Kibana.
• Support and promote shift‑left testing and automation practices across the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities within QA processes.

Required Experience & Skills

• Relevant experience in software testing, including hands‑on work with automation; a degree in computer science or related fields is helpful but not required.
• Experience with Java or another object‑oriented programming language, with an openness to develop skills in Java.
• Experience using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, and test management platforms like Spira, Jira, or Confluence.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile (iterative development) team and manage tasks with autonomy when needed.
• Clear communication skills, practical problem‑solving abilities, and a consistent commitment to producing high‑quality software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions to integrate automated testing into the CI workflow.

• Interest in contributing ideas and improvements beyond core responsibilities when appropriate and feasible.
