Key Responsibilities:
Common Accountabilities:
- Technical/Functional Knowledge:Strong understanding of technical and functional aspects of the QA discipline.
- Moderate Guidance:Expected to work under moderate direction, demonstrating initiative and self-direction while receiving support when needed.
Test Strategy:
- Define comprehensiveTest Strategy and Plancovering functional and non-functional tests.
- Ensure test strategy aligns withCI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines, and industry standards(ISTQB, SDL, STDL).
- Ensure test cases are traceable to specifications and customer requirements.
Test Expertise:
- Design test cases, write test scripts, prepare test data, and execute test scenarios.
- Providego/no-go decisionson tested features based on exit criteria.
- Evaluate and updateregression test suitesand CI/CD pipelines based on new features and test stability metrics.
- InvestigateProblem Tracking Records (PTRs), test fixes, and update test suites accordingly.
Test Automation:
- Assess which test scripts should be automated to optimize test execution.
- Utilize and contribute to theTest Automation Frameworkto improve automation efficiency.
Defect Management:
- Report software and documentation defects, assign severity levels, and provide details for resolution.
- Verify defect fixes and validate production readiness.
Reporting:
- Regularly report on test activities and status to stakeholders.
- Provide visibility into testing milestones, progress, and key testing metrics.
Quality Assurance Ambassador:
- Take ownership ofproduct qualitythroughout the development lifecycle.
- Promote best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Technicity:
- Utilize QA tools and frameworks effectively and propose improvements.
- Contribute to the development ofnew tools and automation frameworksto enhance testing efficiency.
- Required Skills & Experience:7+ years of experiencein test automation usingSelenium, Playwright, or Robot Frameworkwith Java/Python.\Hands on Experience in developingautomation frameworks from scratchand designing robust test strategies.Strong expertise inAPI testingusing tools likePostman, RestAssured, or Python Requests.Hands-on experience inCI/CD integrationof test automation using Jenkins, Octane, and GitHub Actions.Strong knowledge ofData-Driven, BDD, and Hybrid automation frameworks.Experience with test tools likeJenkins, Octane, and VSCode.Ability to monitor automated test executions, debug failures, and optimize test stability.Strongmanual testingskills where automation is not feasible.Experience indefect management, tracking issues, and collaborating with developers for resolution.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
