SYSTEMS TEST ENGINEER:
Support wireless connectivity feature testing and validation field trips for urban, dense and congested environment testing in Michigan. Engineer, develop, execute, validate serial communication in passenger vehicle (passenger car, truck and sport utility vehicle) network Controller Area Network (CAN) bus database for full ICE (Internal combustion engine) vehicles. Capture CAN bus traffic from vehicle/Bench using CAN case hardware and perform analysis using CANoe. Analyze captured CAN communication logs of vehicle subsystem ECU, system debug logs and identify the root cause of issues found from system tests. Perform Over the Air (OTA) software loading, and Over the Air (OTA) service activation, deactivation, and re-activations. Validate Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Over the Air (OTA), Global Positioning System (GPS) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) features. Suggest solutions and lead enhancement to software validation procedures, processes, and practices. Analyze system requirements using IBM Rational DOORS (requirement storage tool) and modify and create new test cases. Configure and activate services in Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) diagnostic communication protocol in Controller Area Network (CAN) communication protocol.Ā Execute static and dynamic vehicle tests for all telematics features including Remote door lock/Unlock, Remote Engine Star, Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Stolen Vehicle block. Perform Over the Air (OTA) software loading, and Over the Air (OTA) service activation, deactivation, and re-activations. Validate different Software variants for U.S., Mexico, Canada. Analyze vehicle interface subsystem Audio during emergency call and perform audio tunning changes to maintain audio quality. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the OEM for all Telematic service, Wi-Fi, and related protocols. Support vehicle launches by root causing of defects and resolution of open issues. Analyze passenger vehicle feature, system and subsystem requirements using IBM Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirement System (DOORS) and evaluate functional partitioning and allocation scenarios to establish primary design direction for Telematic Control Unit, robustness. Use fault injection test methods to execute functional safety validation by inserting serial data communication faults such as Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) error, Burst ID errors, Invalid Data and Time Synchronization errors to validate that the vehicle transitions into a fail-safe state.
